The Resident Geologist Program (RGP) is the public face of the Ontario Geological Survey. Geologists of the RGP have the following mandate: provide geological advisory services, promote and stimulate mineral exploration, maintain and provide public access to geoscience data, monitor and report on mineral exploration, deliver public information sessions, engage and build relationships with Indigenous communities. The final role of the RGP is to participate in public forums to promote Ontario’s mineral industry, which is what this presentation is doing at CCMEC 2023. This presentation will give a brief overview of what the RGP does across Ontario and specifically what mining, advanced exploration and projects are happening within the Red Lake and Kenora Districts
