NOVEMBER 14th – 15th, 2022

CCMEC 2022 was CCMEC’s first year as an independant not-for-profit, and brought together over 600 delegates, 60+ speakers, and 95+ Exhibitors. With a theme of “Central Canada’s Mineral Corridor”, the 2022 event focused on Central Canada’s strategic minerals, Indigenous relations, environmental sustainability, investment, and more.

2021 – Premier Event

Premier Event at the Fort Garry Hotel

NOVEMBER 25th, 2021

On November 25th, 2021, CCMEC hosted an exclusive event to introduce the Honourable Heather Stefanson, Premier of Manitoba, and the Honourable Ralph Eichler, Minister of Agriculture and Resource Development, to the mineral exploration and mining industry in Manitoba.

The event was attended by industry exploration and mining managers, financial institution representatives, Indigenous Chiefs, Government leads, sector organization heads and academic professionals, and others. The event was a grand success with approximately 100 guests in attendance.

2019 – CCMEC Convention

Back to the Rocks!

NOVEMBER 18th – 19th, 2019

Expanded to a 2-day event, the theme for this year was “Back to the Rocks”, focusing on bringing central Canada’s mineral exploration industry back to its roots by facilitating direct links between prospectors, companies, government, academia, communities, Indigenous Peoples, and investors.

Strategic Exploration:

Navigating Change Through Collaboration

In November 2018, the inaugural Central Canada Mineral Exploration Convention (CCMEC) was presented by the Manitoba Prospectors and Developers Association (MPDA) in partnership with Orix Geoscience Inc. CCMEC was the first-ever industry-driven mineral exploration convention in Manitoba and was a resounding success with the attendance of over 350 exploration professionals, academics, government representatives, suppliers, financiers, innovators, Indigenous Peoples, and community representatives.

The theme for CCMEC 2018 was “Strategic Exploration: Navigating Change Through Collaboration”. The convention was a one-day event with a wide array of globally recognized speakers from the various stakeholders of the mining and exploration sector, including Indigenous Peoples, government, industry, finance, and academia. The convention also included opportunities for networking, professional development, and industry engagement.
