MAMI and CCMEC extend heartfelt gratitude to Elder Frank Beaulieu for participating in the convention as the Knowledge Keeper and for offering a blessing and meaningful words of welcome on behalf of Treaty One at the opening ceremonies. His presence brought warmth, grounding, and wisdom to the event, and we are truly honoured that he shared his time with us.

A special thank for also conducting the smudging ceremony. His guidance helped create a safe and positive space for everyone, setting the tone for reflection, connection, and respect throughout the convention. Many attendees shared how deeply they were moved by the experience, and we are grateful for the teachings and spirit he brought to the event.

We hold deep appreciation for his leadership, generosity, and the knowledge he continues to share with our community. We offer sincere thanks for helping make this convention a memorable and meaningful occasion.

Appreciation for 27 entry level sponsors who strengthened the foundation of CCMEC and helped us make a big impact this year.

This year CCMEC was strengthened by the commitment of seven exceptional silver level sponsors – Alamos Gold, GeoMinEx Consultants, Major Drilling, Platinum Diamond Drilling, Sandvik, Stantec, and UCN.

Each played a vital role in shaping a successful and inspiring convention. Their continued partnership reflects the strength and collaboration that define our industry.

CCMEC 2025 reached new heights this year thanks to the vision and commitment of our elite level sponsors.

The collaboration of ETAC, Hudbay Minerals, the Province of Manitoba, Rodren Drilling, and Vale fuelled an unforgettable convention experience. Their leadership and support empowered CCMEC to deliver innovation, inspiration, and connection to every participant.

CCMEC 2025 also broke attendance records, with over 1,000 participating and our largest trade show floor ever with 187 exhibitor booths. Look for 2026 dates early in the new year.

An event the size and scope of CCMEC doesn’t happen by chance—it’s built through collaboration, dedication, and shared vision.

From detailed planning and logistics to vital financial backing, it truly takes a community to bring CCMEC to life.

We are proud to announce a significant two-year funding commitment of $50,000 from Prairies Economic Development Canada. This support underscores the spirit of partnership, innovation, and teamwork that make CCMEC possible.

Winnipeg – The Central Canada Mineral Exploration Convention (CCMEC) has wrapped-up its two-day run in Winnipeg, drawing a record attendance of over one thousandparticipants. The turn-out marks an all-time high for the event, reinforcing its status as Central Canada’s leading gathering place for the mining and mineral exploration industry.

“After more than four decades in mining, I can say without hesitation – events like CCMEC are vital to the lifeblood of the industry,” said Richard Trudeau, CCMEC 2025 Chair. “This is where ideas are born, partnerships are forged, and the future of mineral exploration takes shape in Central Canada.”

This year’s convention didn’t just grow – it exploded. With exhibitor demand soaring over last year, the trade show floor doubled in size, not once, but twice to accommodate a record-breaking 187 exhibitor booths – a 31% increase over 2024.

Long-time exhibitor Multicrete had this to say about the convention, “As a member of MAMI, CCMEC is a key trade show on our calendar. It is an excellent event that provides us with the opportunity to connect with our key mining customers, suppliers and First Nation partners.” Don MacDonald, COO, Multicrete Systems Inc.

Industrial Scientific is a newer entry into the CCMEC experience. “We’re proud to be a member of MAMI and to exhibit at CCMEC 2025, reinforcing our commitment to the mining industry through reliable gas detection and connected safety solutions that safeguard workers and drive progress.” Renae Campbell, Account Executive, Industrial Scientific.

Sponsorships reached new heights as well, with more than 60 industry companies stepping up to support the event, signalling robust momentum across the sector. CCMEC appreciates the generous support of all its sponsors, with special recognition to Prairies Economic Development Canada, whose significant financial commitment of fifty thousand dollars over two-years has been instrumental to the event’s success.

The technical program was equally ambitious, featuring insights from35 leading experts across 15 sessions, each designed to spark innovation, tackle industry challenges, and inspire action. The program also featured a demonstration by the Mine Rescue team, an appearance by Vale’s mechanical bot Rocky, the Rescue Robot, and a cultural performance by the Zoloto Ukrainian Dance Ensemble.

From energizing networking opportunities to game changing conversations, CCMEC 2025 isn’t just about setting records – it’s about redefining what’s possible when an industry comes together.

MAMI, in its second year of managing the convention, extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this incredible event come to life – our committed sponsors, visionary exhibitors, engaged delegates, hardworking committee, trusted vendors and tireless volunteers. Your passion, presence and partnership made CCMEC 2025 one for the books.
