Its Wellness Beneath the Surface
Date/Time: Day 1, November 3 | (10:00 – 11:00 am)
Location: Embassy Room
This session explores how putting people first can transform mental health and wellness in the mining sector. Stacy will delve into the unique challenges faced by remote and northern operations, including geographic isolation, cultural stigma, and high-stress environments. This session will also showcase Hudbay Manitoba’s holistic and multifaceted approach, not just as a moral imperative but as a strategic driver of performance and potential.
We’ll share innovative solutions, from digital EAPs and peer support to our flagship “Mining Your Potential” program, which empowers leaders and frontline staff alike. Discover how we measure impact and build a culture where psychological safety is as important as physical safety. This is more than a discussion on wellness; it’s a blueprint for forging stronger, safer, and more sustainable results by investing in our most important asset, people.
