Raymond Reichelt

Environmental Geoscientist, Retired

Raymond graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1979, majoring in Geology.  

Raymond worked in petroleum exploration as a wellsite geologist and mud logger until 1986.  From 1986 to 1989 Raymond picked up short term work in mining exploration projects. From 1989 to 2006 Raymond was an environmental geologist for various consulting firms. From 2006 to 2019 Raymond worked for Manitoba Conservation.   He retired from the Province at the end of 2019.

Raymond’s work took him throughout Canada and included a year in Mexico (1980-81)Since retiring, Raymond has begun a weekly web log, The Monitoring Well.  The subjects of the blog postings are mostly on geological science and the aim is to promote an interest in geology.
