Rick is a Professional geologist with 20 years industry experience.  Currently the Exploration Manager with Kinross on the Great Bear Project, Rick has been a part of this discovery story since the first drill programs initiated by Great Bear Resources in 2018. Member Exploration team awarded the 2023 PDAC Bill Dennis Award for discovery of the year.  Prior to this he has had involvement in a number of other successful exploration stories throughout his career in North West Ontario including the early days with Rainy River Resources, Rubicon Minerals, and with Goldcorp on the H.G. Young discovery and development at Red Lake Gold Mines. From grassroots to brownfields resource development he has experienced all stages, and is now seeing this new discovery through to advanced exploration and hopeful onto development of Canada’s next new gold mine.
