Tonny completed his BSc in Geophysics at the University of Saskatchewan in 2011. Then he worked for Patterson Geophysics Inc where he was introduced to the Landtem SQUID. In August 2012 he joined the Discovery International Geophysics team as a Field Geophysicist mainly acquiring Electromagnetics and IP/Resistivity Data. Tonny later became a senior geophysicist at Discovery where he started overseeing data acquisition, processing and data delivery to the client. He grew his knowledge of SQUIDs by attending training at Supracon in Jena Germany. Following the takeover of Discovery by Dias Geophysical in 2023, Tonny is now chief geophysicist of Discovery, specializing in transient EM surveys. This involves research client projects and recommending survey specifications that will be best for their exploration objectives.
